Perhaps the best way to explain what XactiMed can do is to let the results we've achieved for actual clients speak for themselves. XactiMed has made a measurable difference for hospitals and provider organizations ranging from small to large, not-for-profit and for-profit, single facilities and hospital systems.
A 12-facility, 2,880-bed, not-for-profit health care system that implemented XactiMed's revenue cycle solutions in 2004 saw average AR days fall from 62.84 to 52.26 in the first six months. That's a 17 percent reduction. Their clean-claim percentage went from virtually zero to 73 percent.
An eight-facility, 1,805-bed, not-for-profit hospital system transitioned from its previous revenue cycle system to XactiMed. While the previous system was adequate, they sought to minimize billing-process breakdowns. Within one year, AR days fell from 46 to 39, resulting in a $40.6 million cash improvement.
A 170-bed hospital, operating as part of large, nonprofit, Catholic, health system, sought to improve their clean-claim rate and to automate nonproductive manual tasks. Within a year of implementing XactiMed, their institutional clean-claim rate improved by 24 percent, and their professional clean-claim rate rose 50 percent. As a result, they realized an AR-day reduction of 13 percent and a $3.6 million cash improvement.
A 450-bed county hospital chose XactiMed to help them gain greater efficiencies from their revenue cycle. Almost immediately after implementation, clean claims jumped to an all-time high of 90 percent. Within seven months, their third-party AR rate fell an average of 21 days for an $8.4 million cash improvement.
A 31-bed rural hospital sought to optimize its limited revenue cycle resources by implementing XactiMed software. Within weeks AR days fell from 67 to 61. Less than three months after go-live, their positive cash impact was $213,696.
